It was small and not worth the money at all!! Our hot water didn't even work!
the location was convenient. the staff was very helpful.
We did not control our environment of our hotel room. t\They did not have the AC on, the window didn't open, we had a ceiling fan. Each room did not control cooling or heating. I've had bigger rooms in NYC and Europe.
The history and the fact that movie stars stayed at the hotel.
Loved the historical nature of the hotel, staff was fantastic and location in downtown Phoenix. In walking distance to the Convention Center, nice bistro downstairs and only 15 minute cab ride from the airport - loved it - I will go back.
Wonderfully rich history and many original features from the 1920s. Friendly and approachable staff, not over zealous or stuffy, just easy to chat to and helpful. A cozy hotel with real character. The pool was excellent, far better than pools at more expensive hotels. Although the hotel looks a little dwarfed by the other larger buildings that surround it, the size and quality makes it just perfect.
Only downside was that the restaurant was being refurbished so not open when I stayed in October.
Excellent location near the convention centre. The room was clean and tidy.
this is an old hotel with noisy plumbing and smelly carpets. The worst was the poor soundproofing. I could hear every word spoken in the adjacent room.
Great location, only 2 blks. From modern convention center. Very nice staff. Good wifi.
Paper thin walls. Water hammer whenever neighbor takes a shower.
I liked the history I felt in the hotel. The location was wonderful.
The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was awful. Bad food..and slow service.
The Location was perfect. Close to my conference venue. Very close to the metro Light Rail. I love the ambiance - the fact that it is an old historical building - where stars like Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Mae West, stayed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and moved me to a room with more quiet neighbours.
hotel is in Phoenix downtown. It was very close to our meeting place.
I loved the charm of the hotel. Built in the early 1900's, but still nice, clean and very conveniently located to town, food, activities and convention center.
Close to Convention Center
Poor quality of rooms, poor customer service at the front desk when checking in. Looks run down instead of historic.
The location was great for downtown Phoenix and the Ball park. It was a pleasant change from the typical "box" roomed chain hotels, with a bit of style and history.
A little run-down. old building, old decor. lot's of peeling paint and broken stuff. The elevator is from 1920-something. But it was ok.
The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. It was comfortable and beds were clean and comfortable. Close to Chase Field and the Lite Rail
